Doing a Lot with a Little

South Brooklyn Sanctuary is designed to make a significant impact with limited funding. Our small staff manages our legal clinics as well as our “Know Your Rights” workshops, supervising over 100 active volunteers. We don’t raise funds for rent, but instead train volunteers remotely and serve our community in existing neighborhood spaces where they feel comfortable.

This year, we anticipate aggressive anti-immigrant government action that will cause material and psychological harm to our community. We launched a campaign to hire an in-house immigration attorney who can help us nimbly adjust our programming in response to policy changes under the Trump administration. Support our GoFundMe to raise $100,000 to address this decisive moment.
